We’re researchers Kinnon MacKinnon from Canada and Pablo Expósito-Campos from Spain.

In this newsletter, we explore and discuss issues related to detransition and gender fluidity from an academic perspective, and we provide space for people with a wide range of lived experiences to share their personal stories.

We refuse to treat detransition as a polemic. On the contrary, we see it as a neglected, complex, and emerging human experience in need of serious consideration.

We contend that an honest understanding of detransition has been largely absent from public consciousness and academic scholarship.

And it’s time to change course.
